안녕하세요! 원장님들 한주 잘 보내셨나요? 한의원에 내원하시는 분들 중에 두통환자들이 많죠? 이번주에는 그 중 한의원에서 흔히 볼수 있는 담궐두통에 관하여 알아보도록 하겠습니다. 대화 살펴보시죠.
Dr.Lee: Hello, Linda!
Linda: How are you, doctor?
Dr.Lee: Your complexion isn’t good. What’s the matter?
Linda: I’ve had a terrible headache for the past week.
Dr.Lee: Would you describe your symptoms?
Linda: It’s like someone is splitting my head into pieces. My head also feels very heavy and I feel nauseous. When it’s severe, I feel like vomiting.
Dr.Lee: Have you actually vomited?
Linda: No, I just feel nauseous.
Dr.Lee: Have you undergone any medical examinations such as an MRI, CT or MRA? Because your symptoms can arise from an increase of intracranial pressure.
Linda: Yes, but there were no abnormal signs. They kept saying there’s nothing wrong with me.
Dr.Lee: Any other symptoms?
Linda: Hmm. My eyeballs feel like they’re falling out. I also experience fatigue and it feels like a ton of bricks fell on me.
Dr.Lee: Let me see your tongue. Your tongue is coated with a thick white material. Have you been feeling uneasy with your digestion?
Linda: Yes. That’s why I don’t eat much as others do. I feel bloated all the time.
Dr.Lee: Are your feet and hands cold?
Linda: Yes, they are really cold. I sometimes have to wear socks to fall asleep even in the summer.
Dr.Lee: When do your symptoms get better- when you are in bed or when you are standing or walking?
Linda: I think... when I’m in bed.
Dr.Lee: You seem to suffer from 痰厥頭痛. 痰 is simply put, kind of waste material that arises due to indigestion or disordered fluid metabolism in our body, which interferes the flow of qi and blocks the meridian pathways. I’ll prescribe 半夏白朮天麻湯 for 3 days. Come see me in 3 days and please take this medicine 3 times a day. Don’t skip it.
Linda: Ok. Thanks doctor.
